Welcome to the K-12 Arlington Public School Visual Art website. The teaching staff and I are excited to be able to share many features of the K-12 art programs in Arlington’s elementary and secondary schools. Here you can find many examples of student art work, information about the staff, curriculum documents that help you see what kinds of learning we emphasize through art making, our exhibits and competitions schedule, and numerous visual art resources. There are also website links to specific Arlington school art blogs where you can find even more information about a specific school’s art program.
Note: When viewing student art work in each school’s section of this site, be sure to click on the thumbnail image to view a larger image of that art work.
Seven years ago, a support group called the Arlington Friends of Visual Art was formed to give parents and other community members an opportunity to become involved in the
art program through advocacy and volunteering or by simply staying informed about everything that is happening related to visual art in our schools. If you would like more information about becoming a member of this group, please email K-12 Director of Visual Art, David Ardito at email@example.com. You can also choose to just be on the email list to learn about upcoming events and student and staff accomplishments.
Thanks to former Ottoson Middle School art teacher, Brian Corey for designing this site.
We apologize if certain pages are not current. We will update information as soon as we can.
Thanks and enjoy our website.
David Ardito, Interim K-12 Director of Visual Art, Arlington Public Schools
